Through constructing a music video for my prelim and a film opening for my AS coursework, I have learnt that there are many differences between the two.
For example, music videos are much more fast paced and require more editing throughout. The individual shots to make up a scene are all usually a lot shorter meaning it takes up more filming to make up the same amount of time as you would for a film opening.
Also, during a film opening, you don't have to think about editing to the beat whereas in music videos, that is vital. In music videos that include lip syncing, you also have to match up the lips to the lyrics which can sometimes be very difficult to get the exact timing.
